The Raro Way v2

I have come to learn that cooking with substitutes is also a very ‘Raro’ thing to do, since you never know what may or may not be at the supermarket and sometimes what you think might be there hasn’t arrived on the latest ship that came in!

Case in point: this slightly Italian girl (being me) makes pizza on a regular basis, but I didn’t have any regular flour in the house that I could make my own dough with, I only had self-rising dough. After a bit of research online, I realized that self-rising dough was usually best used with baking desserts, so I almost gave up on my pizza desire until I found Jaime Oliver’s brilliant self-rising dough recipe!

It’s delicious, quick and easy – here’s the recipe if you want to give it a try. It would have been good with the pesto I made with peanuts the other day (I couldn’t find walnuts or pine nuts at the store – another va’raro’iation!)
